School Buildings Alterations

Very excitingly, work has begun on our new upstairs classroom. It is due to be completed October 2010. Why not call in in September and see for yourself the changes so far!?

The plans are still available to view in school, along with photos of what the buildings looked like before work started. After October 2010, it is planned that the KS2 children will be taught upstairs and the current Class 2 room will become the school hall. The hall will theno be available to the people of the local area for clubs and activities in the same way as the public room was. Watch this space for more information!

What is our school like now?

Watch this space. Class 1 are keeping a diary to inform everyone of the changes to the buildings, which have started during the summer holidays. There will be photos of the school before any work began and pictures of the work in progress.

The Main Playground

The first job in the playground was to turn the old bike shed into a larger PE store. We installed the new metal and plastic bike shelter and demolished the old PE shed in the back corner of the main playground.

We have some huge colourful outdoor instruments for impromptu performances, a train, a new playhouse and some brilliant new footie goals for the new pitch.

We have hopscotch and a 100 square for numeracy outside.

The Quiet Garden.

We built a retaining wall along the edges of the quiet area, to hold back the soil that was making this area very dirty. We have improved planting and built nest boxes and other wildlife habitats.
