Class 2 are currently doing World War 2 as their history topic. They have visited Penrith Museum, been visited in turn by an APP warden to advise them on blacking out their home and the best type of home bomb shelter. We are currently digging for victory in the secret garden's new planter. The children will be developing their knitting, weaving and rag rugging skills, learning and developing their knowledge of traditional activities of the time. Game of marbles anyone? Conkers? And don't forget your gas mask and identity card for our WW2 themes open day. Follow the links on the picture for further information and research.

What is History?
History is where we study the past. We find out about the lives and times of famous as well as ordinary people, who they were, how they lived, what they believed and why. Unless we understand about history we cannot really understand the world today or even what the future might bring.
