Welcome to Ravenstonedale School. We, like our village, are small and compact. Mrs. Tringham and her team, together with the Governors, are dedicated to providing a professional, caring and up-to-date environment for the children in our care.
The academic and social development of the children is of great importance to us and, with your support, we aim to maintain a happy and challenging learning atmosphere for the children in school.
As well as the traditional teaching methods, you will see from the prospectus that we are well prepared with all the latest modern technical equipment for the children to use, thus ensuring that information technology is an integral part of the curriculum.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to partake in the social events organised by the P.T.F.A. who successfully raise funds throughout the academic year, all for the benefit of our children.
In our village we are proud to have many people who help and care for the children. Being a small school we are lucky to be able to recognise our children individually and understand all their needs, this is reflected by how much the children enjoy attending Ravenstonedale School and the good results and progress they make in their lives, ensuring they move forward to the next stage of their education happy and confident individuals.
Outdoor Space Renovations Update
The school community has been working very hard to improve our outside space. The children have undertaken surveys to find out what we need and would like to turn our playground into a more exciting place to play and learn. After nearly two years of work, developing designs and applying for funding, the project is poised to swing into action in January 2010.
